Upper Echelon garments have a true Italian cut, (squared shoulders with a suppressed waist), reminiscent of the 1940's silhouette.
Individual Pattern - Every client has an individual paper pattern on file. This differentiates a custom garment from a made to measure garment. Floating Chest Piece - All our garment fronts are “loosely sewn in by hand.“ This enables the garment to contour and move with the individual. Surgeon's Cuff - Our garment sleeves have functional button-holes, also known as, a surgeon's cuff. Historically, it was important for a surgeon’s cuff to actually unbutton so he could easily roll-up his sleeves on a house call. Under Pressings - Garments are pressed at every seam to ensure that it keeps its shape forever! Lining, Interlining, & Trimming (Buttons, Silk Thread, Padding, Canvassing, etc.) - We also use some of the finest lining, interlining, & trimming around. Although some of these qualities cannot be seen, besides the horn buttons & Bemberg lining, the client will be able to feel the difference in the coat's weight due to our ultra-light canvas. Pants - They are built with a standard 3/4 lining and a reinforced (more substantial) waistband. In addition, our waistband is also fitted with a strip of texturized rubber on the inside, to prevent the shirt from pulling up. Suspender buttons are standard as well. Shirts - Our shirts require no starch. We have a finishing technique that gives the collar and cuff a crisp and clean look, appearing to be starched. *Note: We also produce shirtings for women.
